The 2026 Edition introduces numerous changes to the TEMA® Standards
Newly Added
- Rules to calculate the required thickness for weir plate thickness in kettle type shells
- Rules for the sizing of retaining rods for one-pass tube side floating heads
- Rules for removable pass partitions in high pressure channels
- Rules to address support design on conical sections
- Additional rules for supports located in the u-bend area.
- Rules to determine the required thickness at the edge of pass partition plates
- Appendix for Rod Baffles
Updated
- Updated Heat Exchanger Specification Sheet to better define the design requirements necessary to specify a heat exchanger.
- SI Units revised to better correlate with stock material sizes – a single system of units shall be used for all aspects of design and fabrication except where otherwise permitted
- Reference table values reviewed and corrected
